ST CHRISTOPHER'S HOSPICE

LANDSCAPE MASTERPLAN

Sydenham, London, United Kingdom

The vision for the hospice garden was an experience of an ever changing and seasonal landscape, achieved through a variety of textures, vibrant colours and movement.

Planting can offer hope throughout the year, through remembrance, regeneration and constant seasonal renewal. The approach was to provide moments of interest and intrigue through seasonal delight, varied collections of herbaceous, bulb and perennial planting interspersed with evergreen shrubs.

A tight budget and quick deadline required a different style for managing the design of this garden.

The project has recently achieved planning and is now in Stage 4 - Detailed design.
